The Sun Valley Floral Farms, based in Arcata, recently became the first flower farm in the United States to be certified sustainable by the Rainforest Alliance. This achievement not only reaffirms Sun Valley’s commitment to environmental responsibility, but also reflects Sun Valley’s commitment to our local community. The audit process was intensive. It required weeks of work to prepare and culminated with Rainforest Alliance staff coming to Arcata and inspecting every aspect of our operations.
